Warsaw, Poland – The Emirate of Sharjah is participating as the guest of honor at the fifth edition of the Warsaw International Book Fair. It is presenting a comprehensive cultural program reflecting the present and future of the cultural landscape in the UAE and the Arab region. The fair will run from May 28 to 31.
A diverse cultural program
The Sharjah pavilion features 34 events, including 29 seminars, 5 poetry evenings, and 14 musical performances,
with the participation of 35 Emirati writers and poets and 15 Polish participants.
This collaborative cultural dialogue reflects the diversity and complementarity of literary experiences.
Twenty-one Emirati cultural institutions are participating in the events, showcasing the richness of
the cultural landscape and its interconnectedness with literature, thought, and the arts.
This also strengthens the presence of Arab culture at one of
Europe’s leading publishing platforms and opens new avenues for cultural cooperation.

Promoting international cultural exchange
The Sharjah Book Authority confirmed that its participation aims to expand opportunities for cooperation
between publishers. It also promotes reciprocal translation between Arabic and Polish,
thus supporting the global dissemination of Arabic literature.
The fair features more than 1,200 diverse events, including literary discussions,
workshops, and book signings. Through its participation,
Sharjah seeks to present a comprehensive model for cultural dialogue.
This model combines literature, arts, and professional programs,
and reinforces the role of books in fostering understanding between peoples.
