Abu Dhabi, UAE – Etihad Airways announced, on Thursday, the launch of a seasonal service to Dhaka in Bangladesh. Starting June 26, 2026. This is to strengthen trade and shipping links through the South Asia Corridor.
The service, which operates four flights per week to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, will enhance air connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Bangladesh. In support of the continued expansion of cargo flows along with demand for passenger flights across the global airline network. Abu Dhabi serves as a major gateway for trade between South Asia and international markets.
The service will be operated on Boeing 777 aircraft, with 28 business class seats and 374 economy class seats. Providing large cargo capacity on the wide aircraft.

The UAE has one of the largest Bangladeshi communities in the world. The new service will provide direct flights for families, in addition to smooth connecting flights via Abu Dhabi.
The seasonal service will provide connecting flights for large Bangladeshi communities in the UK, Italy and North America. They will be able to travel via Abu Dhabi to Dhaka with ease. This line will serve travelers between Abu Dhabi and Dhaka, as well as travelers with connecting flights to other destinations.
