Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a written message from His Excellency Tariq Rahman, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, concerning strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Delivery of the message and the official meeting
The message was received by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during his meeting with His Excellency Humayun Kabir, Advisor to the Bangladeshi Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs. The meeting addressed the repercussions of the Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and several other brotherly nations.
International solidarity and support
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Humayun Kabir strongly condemned these attacks. They affirmed the right of the affected countries to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity. Furthermore, they emphasized the importance of safeguarding the security of their citizens, residents, and visitors in accordance with international law. His Excellency Humayun Kabir also reiterated the People’s Republic of Bangladesh’s support for the UAE in maintaining its security and stability.
Strengthening bilateral cooperation
The two sides discussed a number of topics of mutual interest related to bilateral relations. His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening advanced and constructive cooperation with Bangladesh. This approach serves mutual interests and contributes to achieving sustainable economic development and prosperity for both nations. His Excellency Saeed Al Hajeri, Minister of State, also attended the meeting.
