Dubai, UAE – Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism has announced, in a circular addressed to all establishments in the emirate, a package of support measures for the economic sector. The package includes the deferral of a number of department-related fees for three months starting from April 1, 2026. This move aims to support the business community. It also aims to promote sustainable growth across the economic, tourism, and related sectors.
According to the circular, the decision comes in line with the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. This initiative is part of efforts to strengthen the business environment. Moreover, it seeks to ensure sustainable growth in the emirate’s key economic sectors.
The deferred fees include commercial license amendment fees, advertising fees linked to commercial licenses, local fees on commercial licenses, as well as optional fees related to trade names. The department said these measures are intended to support business continuity and ease financial burdens on companies. Furthermore, they are designed to improve liquidity. In addition, these measures further reinforce Dubai’s position as a leading global destination for business and investment. The announcement carries a direct executive nature and is addressed to businesses operating in Dubai. It was issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism, the official authority responsible for the emirate’s economy, business, and tourism sectors.
