Abu Dhabi, UAE – Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, affirmed that the international consensus within the Human Rights Council in Geneva to condemn the Iranian aggression against the Arab Gulf States and Jordan represents a firm historical stance.
Gargash said in a tweet on the “X” platform: “The unanimous condemnation by the Human Rights Council in Geneva of the brutal Iranian aggression against the Arab Gulf states and brotherly Jordan represents a clear international position that reinforces the seriousness of these attacks and their blatant violation of international law and the sovereignty of states.”
The diplomatic advisor stressed that targeting civilians, vital facilities, and infrastructure, as well as threatening energy security and the safety of international navigation, are acts that will not go unpunished under international law. He also affirmed that the right of states to self-defense is a guaranteed right.
