Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Emirates Warriors Mixed Martial Arts Championship kicks off on Friday.
Which will be held over two days, in Al Khabisi Hall at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center in Al Ain, through the 68th Arab and 69th International editions.
With the participation of 44 male and female fighters competing in 22 fights, the competition includes 3 titles.
Tournament details
The tournament organizing committee revealed the details of the event and the champions participating in the competitions, in the presence of Fouad Darwish, Chairman of the Organizing Committee and CEO of Palms Sports Company, which organized the event.
Which is held under the auspices of the Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism Authority and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
The competitions in the Arabic version will begin on Friday, with 12 fights, with the participation of 24 male and female fighters, representing 9 countries.
On Saturday, the 69th international edition will be held, and will witness 10 fights, with the participation of 20 male and female fighters representing 13 countries.
The main event of the Arabic version includes a confrontation between Moroccan fighter Xavier Allawi, the former title holder, and Palestinian Rani Saada in the bantamweight division, in an anticipated fight.
The Egyptian Maysara Mohamed and the Moroccan Badr Atef, who is making his first appearance in the tournament, will also meet in the joint match.
Strong fight
The international edition, which will be held on Saturday, will witness a strong fight to determine the champion of the first stage of flyweight, bringing together the Azerbaijani Asaf Shurbarov and the Brazilian Adriano Ramos for the bantamweight title.
Brazilian Caio Machado will also meet Russian Mogamid Tokalfov to determine the lightweight champion.
Elite fighters
Fouad Darwish confirmed that the tournament is witnessing a remarkable presence of elite fighters from all over the world.
This reflects the event’s significant international standing and its ability to attract prominent names in mixed martial arts.
He pointed out that this distinguished presence of male and female fighters comes in light of the safe and stable atmosphere enjoyed by the UAE.
