Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Artificial Intelligence track within the Emirates Experts Program has attracted more than 1,000 applications to join it in less than two months since applications opened on January 29 and closed on Tuesday.
This is an indication of the growing interest of Emirati competencies in specializing in artificial intelligence and participating in supporting the UAE’s trends in this vital field.
The number of applications submitted reflects the growing interest of Emirati professionals working in the fields of artificial intelligence and its various applications.
This will enhance efforts to expand the national expertise base capable of contributing to the development of this sector and supporting its future priorities.
Accurate evaluation process
Program participants will be selected through a rigorous evaluation process based on criteria of academic and professional excellence and leadership abilities.
In addition to the ability to transform knowledge and experience into practical impact within national sectors.
The final names of the participants will be announced next May.
The first batch of the UAE Experts Program “Artificial Intelligence Pathway” is scheduled to launch in May 2026 and continue until December of the same year.
Participants undergo a series of intensive training modules aimed at enhancing technical and leadership competencies in the field of artificial intelligence.
Guidance system
Participants also receive support through a guidance system at two levels:
The first is the strategic level, which includes senior state leaders, including ministers, government officials, and CEOs.
They provide general strategic guidance and link the learning path to the national context and state priorities.
The second level is the technical level and includes technical experts and academic advisors in the field of artificial intelligence, who provide specialized technical guidance and practical feedback to support the efficient implementation of graduation projects.

The track includes specialized international study trips that allow participants to directly learn about advanced global experiences in the field of artificial intelligence and interact with them on the ground.
In addition to learning about applied models of artificial intelligence and governance methods that are directly related to their business sectors.
It is worth noting that the AI track is in line with the National AI Strategy 2031.
It contributes to supporting the state’s efforts to expand the national expertise base in advanced technologies.
Developing national cadres
This track is an extension of the UAE Experts Programme, launched in 2019, with the aim of developing national cadres specializing in priority sectors.
The new track focuses on strengthening national capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence and preparing a new generation of Emirati experts capable of leading this vital sector.
The six tracks of artificial intelligence are also applied in 25 vital national sectors.
To ensure that participants’ skills and experience are aligned with the country’s national priorities.
