Dubai, UAE – On Monday morning, various areas of the UAE witnessed heavy rains that included a number of coastal and inland areas.
This is in light of the country being affected by a surface low pressure system accompanied by a low extension in the upper atmosphere.
This led to the proliferation of cumulus clouds and a noticeable drop in temperatures, according to what the National Center of Meteorology reported in its weather bulletin.
The early morning hours witnessed heavy rain falling on the city of Abu Dhabi and its suburbs, accompanied by cloudy weather and active winds.
In a scene that reflects the state of atmospheric instability that the country is witnessing during this period, as cumulus clouds contributed to rainfall at varying intervals.
Rain in various areas
The center explained that the weather on Monday will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with continued chances of rain falling in various areas.
While the winds are southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed and sometimes active, especially with clouds.
This leads to dust and dirt and reduced horizontal visibility in some areas.
The sea is also light to medium waves, and may sometimes be turbulent in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Relative drop in temperature
Regarding temperatures, the country is witnessing a relative decline.
Forecasts for the next four days indicate that the unstable atmosphere will continue.
The weather from Tuesday to Friday will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with cumulus clouds appearing and a chance of rain falling on scattered areas.
Temperatures also tend to rise slightly on Wednesday, before stabilizing again, with winds sometimes continuing to be active and causing dust and dirt to rise.
The bulletin confirmed that the sea condition will remain between light and medium waves, with the possibility of turbulence at times, coinciding with cloud activity.
She also called for caution, especially when driving in changeable weather conditions and low visibility.
