— ADSportsTV (@ADSportsTV) March 21, 2026 Despite Al Ahli’s persistent attempts to get back into the game, Al Jazira’s defense and goalkeeper continued to shine, allowing the team to maintain their lead until the final whistle.
The final minutes were tense, after Al-Jazira finished the match with ten players following the dismissal of Mohamed Rabie in the 89th minute. This came after he received his second yellow card.
Al Ahli threatened Al Jazira’s goal early on, most notably Guilherme Bala’s chance in the 19th minute that went over the crossbar. Khasif also made some excellent saves in the 26th minute against dangerous attempts. Meanwhile, the referee disallowed a goal for Al Jazira in first-half stoppage time due to a foul.
With this victory, Al Jazira awaits the winner of the other match between Al Ain and United in the final. That match will determine the second qualifying spot.
