Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems are currently dealing with missile and drone attacks coming from Iran,
stressing that interception operations are continuing to protect the country’s airspace and secure its vital facilities.
Intercepting missiles and drones
The ministry explained that air defense systems successfully intercepted ballistic missiles,
while fighter jets engaged drones and other aerial vehicles, all within an integrated defense framework.
It affirmed that operations are being conducted with high efficiency to ensure the countering of any potential threats.
Interpretation of audible sounds
The Ministry of Defense indicated that the sounds heard in various parts of the country were
due to the interception of missiles and drones, and not to their impact in populated areas.
It emphasized that the relevant authorities are continuously monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
Full readiness to confront threats
The ministry affirmed that the armed forces are fully prepared to deal with any developments,
noting that air defenses are operating according to precise plans to counter attacks and protect the country’s airspace.
This comes amid escalating regional tensions and an increase in attacks targeting several countries in the region.
