Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Department of Municipalities and Transport has raised its readiness to deal with the expected weather conditions in the country between March 21 and 27, 2026.
This is part of the emergency plan it is implementing in coordination with various relevant authorities, as part of its commitment to ensuring community safety and the continuity of services.
Activating emergency operations offices
Preparations included activating emergency operations offices in Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain City Municipality, and Al Dhafra Region Municipality, to respond to reports received around the clock.
In addition to deploying integrated teams that include engineers, observers, and supervisors, supported by assistant workers, heavy equipment, and specialized vehicles.
The department calls on the public to contact emergency operations offices via 993 to report any rainwater accumulations or other field observations.
It stresses the importance of avoiding entering valleys, ravines and water collection sites during weather conditions, and fully adhering to the instructions of official authorities to ensure the safety of individuals and property, and supports the efforts of field work teams.
