Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Digital Authority and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority have called on users to be careful.
This came after detecting phishing attempts targeting users of the UAE PASS digital identity via fake messages and links, aimed at obtaining personal data, or defrauding users of agreeing to unauthorized login requests.

The authority explained that targeting attempts include messages that appear official via email, text messages, or chat applications, and may sometimes appear in the form of login or verification requests within the digital identity application itself.
Digital Dubai confirmed that if any verification or login request arrives without the user having made it himself, it must be canceled immediately and not approved under any circumstances.
Not sharing data
She also stressed that government agencies will never require the sharing of login details or verification codes.

It also warned of fraudulent methods that may include requesting a replacement for a lost SIM card or implementing facial fingerprint verification procedures in order to access digital accounts.
