Dubai, UAE – Dubai Health organized the international training camp “Healthcare Innovation and Sustainability Week”.
Which was held in cooperation with Queensland University of Technology “QUT” in Australia, Siemens Healthineers and the Advanced Robotics Center for Manufacturing “ARM Hub”.
The camp, which lasted two weeks in Australia and Dubai, was attended by healthcare experts, academics, and university students.
Which aims to develop sustainable solutions that enhance the patient experience.
Digital programs and activities
The camp’s activities included a series of programs and activities that addressed ways to employ technology, digital health, design thinking, and sustainability principles in medical practices.
During the first week of the camp, which was held in Brisbane, Australia, Dubai Health staff were briefed on the components of Australia’s academic healthcare system.
This was achieved through scientific sessions and field visits to a number of prominent innovation centers, including the Transitional Research Institute “TRI”, Wesley Hospital, and the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge District.
The role of artificial intelligence in healthcare
As a program partner, the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Center “ARM Hub” reviewed the role of robotics, automation, artificial intelligence and modern manufacturing technologies in supporting more sustainable models of healthcare service delivery.
The second week of the camp, held in Dubai, focused on developing collaborative solutions across two parallel tracks.
As a program design partner, Siemens Healthineers led the joint workshops, offering global and local expertise in healthcare technologies and sustainability, and supporting teams in developing viable and scalable ideas.

It is the Rochester University of Technology – Dubai, the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation, the American University of Sharjah, and Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences – the learning and discovery arm of Dubai Health.
This aims to develop sustainable solutions based on modern technologies and digital health, focusing on patients’ needs.
It also contributes to supporting the quality of care and expanding the range of viable solutions.
