Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE has expressed its deepest condolences and solidarity with Kenya following the devastating floods that swept through several regions, resulting in dozens of deaths and significant material losses.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing the UAE’s sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Kenya for this tragic loss.

The Ministry affirmed the UAE’s solidarity with Kenya in addressing the aftermath of the natural disaster and expressed its support for the efforts being made to mitigate the effects of the rains and floods.

Human and material losses

Heavy rains in several parts of Kenya have caused widespread flooding, resulting in dozens of deaths. The floods have also caused extensive damage to property and infrastructure.

Many residential areas and roads have been affected. Local authorities and rescue teams are working to manage the aftermath and provide assistance to those affected.

Ongoing Emirati solidarity

This stance stems from the UAE’s humanitarian policy of supporting countries affected by natural disasters. The country also provides condolences and assistance during humanitarian crises.

In such situations, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to strengthening international cooperation and solidarity. Furthermore, the country supports humanitarian efforts aimed at mitigating the effects of disasters and protecting affected communities.
