Abu Dhabi, UAE – Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, affirmed that Iranian claims regarding attacks on US military bases in the Gulf do not reflect the reality of the attacks witnessed in the region. He explained that the facts and figures related to missiles and drones reveal that civilian facilities and vital infrastructure were targeted.
Criticism of the Iranian novel
Gargash stated in a post on his official Twitter account that Iran is lying when it claims its attacks targeted US military bases in the Gulf. He further explained that the facts on the ground point to a completely different reality.
He noted that the number of missiles and drones used in the attacks demonstrates the nature of the targets. He emphasized that these attacks were not limited to military sites, as Tehran claims.
Targeting civilian infrastructure
Gargash added that the Iranian attacks targeted civilian infrastructure and vital facilities in the region, disregarding the safety of civilians and the essential services provided to the population.
He explained that these attacks represent a dangerous escalation that threatens the region’s security and stability. They also reveal the true nature of the attacks, which targeted a number of civilian facilities.
