Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call today, Monday, from Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. During the call, they discussed the rapidly evolving situation in the region and its implications for regional and international peace and security.
Condemnation of Iranian attacks
During the call, the Vietnamese Prime Minister condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the territory of the UAE and several other brotherly countries in the region. He also affirmed that these attacks constitute a violation of state sovereignty, international law, and the UN Charter.
He further emphasized his country’s solidarity with the UAE in all measures it takes to defend its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens.
Emirati thanks for the Vietnamese stance
For his part, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of Vietnam for his country’s supportive and solidarity-based stance towards the UAE in light of current developments in the region.
His Highness emphasized the importance of international cooperation in confronting the challenges that threaten the security and stability of the region.
Emphasis on diplomatic solutions
During the call, both sides stressed the need to resort to dialogue and diplomatic solutions to avoid further crises and tensions in the region.
They also emphasized the importance of joint efforts to maintain regional and international peace and security and prevent further escalation.
