Dubai, UAE – On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the UAE launched a series of Ramadan initiatives and campaigns with a global dimension.
Which embodies its firm and continuous commitment to promoting the values of compassion, tolerance and giving.
These initiatives and campaigns consolidate the UAE’s position as a beacon of goodness and humanity.
It affirms its leadership in providing a helping hand and assistance to those in need wherever they are.
It extends to include all continents of the world and is distinguished by its innovative ideas and methods.

In keeping with his annual custom with the good news of the holy month, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the “11.5: Limit Life” campaign, to save five million children from hunger in the world.
The campaign is an extension of His Highness’s vision, which has made combating world hunger a special priority and a central focus of many of the humanitarian initiatives and projects he sponsors.
The campaign focuses in particular on children who face the most serious forms of hunger in the most vulnerable communities.
Especially in disaster, crisis and conflict areas.
Five children under the age of five die from malnutrition and hunger every minute worldwide. All segments of Emirati society, both individuals and institutions, are participating in the campaign.
For its part, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority announced that more than 1.5 million people within the UAE and in 44 countries around the world are benefiting from its Ramadan programs this year.
The Gaza Strip and our Palestinian brothers were a major focus of the UAE’s giving initiatives during the month of Ramadan.
On February 12, the humanitarian aid ship “Mother of the Emirates” sailed, heading to the Gaza Strip, with a total tonnage exceeding 7,300 tons of various aid.
They include food, shelter materials, and medical supplies.
This contributes to supporting food security and enhancing the urgent humanitarian response to the needs of affected families in the Gaza Strip.

In a related context, His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, directed the launch of a humanitarian air bridge to provide relief to the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan.
This is part of Operation “The Noble Knight 3” to support the Palestinian people and alleviate their suffering under the current circumstances.
The bridge will be designated for transporting various relief aid, including food parcels, health supplies, and supplies for children and women.
In addition to urgent basic needs, which contributes to supporting affected families and meeting their living needs during the holy month.

“For the Olive Children”
The Big Heart Foundation also announced the launch of the second edition of its Ramadan campaign “For Olive Children”.
To direct support this year to Palestinian amputee children in the Gaza Strip.
This is in light of the presence of more than 1,000 registered children waiting to receive prosthetic limbs and specialized rehabilitation services.
The campaign aims to provide an integrated healthcare and rehabilitation pathway that includes not only specialized prosthetic limbs, but also rehabilitation treatment and psychosocial support.
A delegation from the International Charity Organization arrived in Mauritania.
With the aim of inspecting and implementing 90 charitable projects for poor villages and the most needy groups.
Among the most prominent projects are maintaining and furnishing mosques and preparing them to receive worshipers during the month of Ramadan, in addition to digging wells and Iftar projects in Muslim villages.
Which included distributing food parcels to poor and needy families.
In addition to implementing zakat projects and other initiatives in line with the objectives and human values of the month of Ramadan.

Kenya.. A share of Ramadan initiatives
Under the slogan “Feed a child and a son with a kitchen”, Dubai Cares, affiliated with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, launched its Ramadan campaign, which aims to support the environmentally friendly school meals program that will begin in Kenya.
In preparation for expansion into sub-Saharan African countries.
Transforming collective giving into sustainable food, promising opportunities, and greater resilience for children and their families in the face of the challenges of hunger and malnutrition.
The launch of the program comes amid data indicating that more than 90% of children in Africa lack a balanced diet.
While 60% of children in Kenya suffer from malnutrition, which directly affects their attendance, concentration and academic achievement.
