Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Wahda achieved an important victory over their guest Ajman with two goals to nil, in the match that brought the two teams together on Wednesday evening at Al Nahyan Stadium, as part of the 18th round of the ADNOC Pro League.

With this win, Al Wahda raised their points tally to 33, strengthening their hold on third place in the standings. Meanwhile, Ajman’s points remained at 23, keeping them in sixth place.
A balanced first half with Ajman dominating possession
The first half was evenly matched, with neither side gaining a clear advantage. Al Wahda appeared more active offensively at times, before Ajman responded with several dangerous attempts that threatened Zayed Al Hammadi’s goal.
Despite the first half ending in a goalless draw, Ajman held a slight advantage in possession, with 56% compared to Al Wahda’s 43%. The home side also had three shots on target, while the visitors managed two attempts.
A brace decides the match in five minutes
As the second half began, Al Wahda intensified their attacking pressure until they managed to open the scoring in the 62nd minute through Caio Canedo, taking advantage of a defensive mix-up inside the penalty area, to shoot the ball to the left of the goalkeeper.
Al Wahda did not wait long to strengthen their lead, as Omar Khribin added the second goal in the 67th minute with a perfect header after a cross from Dusan Tadic.
