Washington, D.C. – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the Honorable J.D. Vance, Vice President of the United States of America, during a working visit to Washington. They discussed the strategic and historical relations between the United Arab Emirates and the United States, as well as ways to strengthen and develop these relations across various fields.
Economic and technological partnership
The two sides reviewed opportunities for developing cooperation in the economic, investment, and trade sectors, as well as in advanced technology, energy, and artificial intelligence. They also emphasized the importance of building upon the achievements of the past period to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries.
Regional and international coordination
The two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest. They also affirmed their commitment to continued coordination and consultation to enhance regional stability and consolidate the values of peace and coexistence. Reaffirming the strength of the relationship, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the UAE’s keenness to continue working with the United States to broaden the horizons of the strategic partnership. He also expressed support for both countries’ efforts to achieve sustainable development for their peoples. He noted that the deep historical ties provide a solid foundation for launching new areas of cooperation, particularly in vital and priority sectors.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State, and His Excellency Yousef Mana Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States.
