Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the UAE and Egypt during a telephone call with His Excellency Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt. They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and strategic partnership in various fields to serve their common interests and benefit their peoples.
Strengthening the bilateral partnership
Both sides affirmed the strength of UAE-Egyptian relations and their shared commitment to developing cooperation across various sectors. This reflects the deep historical ties between the two brotherly nations and reinforces ongoing coordination at both the bilateral and regional levels.
Middle East developments
The call addressed regional developments, particularly the latest developments in the Middle East. They also discussed ways to intensify efforts to support security and stability and preserve regional peace in order to fulfill the aspirations of the region’s peoples for development and stability.
Gaza and Sudan top the agenda of the talks
His Highness and His Excellency Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty discussed the importance of implementing all aspects of US President Donald Trump’s plan to contribute to stability and sustainable development in the region. They also reviewed efforts to enhance the humanitarian response to the needs of civilians in the Gaza Strip to alleviate their suffering.
The two sides also addressed the tragic developments of the civil war in Sudan. They emphasized the importance of reaching an immediate and unconditional ceasefire and working to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in all affected areas.
