Abu Dhabi, UAE – Ajman secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Sharjah at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium in the 17th round of the ADNOC Pro League. The match saw a standout performance from Moroccan striker Walid Azaro.
The first half was full of excitement, with Ajman opening the scoring through Walid Azaro in the 22nd minute, after a well-organized counter-attack that he finished with a successful shot into the net. Then, Brazilian Ledieri Silva extended the home side’s lead with a second goal in the 31st minute.
Sharjah responded quickly, with Brazilian Caio Lucas narrowing the gap in the 33rd minute. He then scored the equalizer from a penalty kick in first-half stoppage time, ending the first half 2-2.
In the second half, Ajman continued their attacking efforts, but Sharjah goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani was in fine form, making several crucial saves to keep his team’s hopes alive.
As the match seemed destined for a draw, Walid Azaro snatched a dramatic late winner for Ajman in the 93rd minute, capitalizing on his individual skill inside the penalty area. This secured three valuable points for his team.
