Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Ports Authority, affiliated with the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, announced its official accession to the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) as a regular member.
This is in a move aimed at deepening Dubai’s presence in influential international platforms in the port industry and enhancing its maritime system in terms of sustainability, efficiency and flexibility.
Membership contributes to strengthening the Authority’s cooperation and knowledge exchange with the global port community, which includes more than 90 countries.
In addition to participating in the Association’s programs and initiatives in the areas of emissions reduction, energy transition, digital solutions, and data coordination across the marine supply chain.
In addition to supporting readiness, risk management, and raising the level of operational flexibility.
This accession comes within the framework of Dubai’s vision to enhance the role of its ports as engines of growth and trade and advanced centers of competitiveness, sustainability and innovation through international partnerships that support the adoption of standards and solutions that enhance operating efficiency and sector flexibility.
