All eyes are on the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Ramadan Championship “Al Wathba 2026”, which is the largest of its kind in terms of the number of sports, the number of participants, and the value of prizes.
It is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Presidential Office.
It includes 15 sports and heritage games, with total prizes amounting to 10 million dirhams for participants and the public, in addition to daily draws, during the period from 5 to 28 Ramadan.
Al Ain City is hosting the “Hafit Sports Challenge” under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region.
The second edition of the tournament will start on February 20 and continue until the 19th of Ramadan.
It is the largest interactive social sports carnival witnessed by the region, and is organized by Al Ain City Municipality in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Al Ain Sports Club, thus enhancing Al Ain’s position as a sports and tourist destination.
Abu Dhabi.. Mansour bin Zayed Football Cup
The Emirate of Abu Dhabi will also host the thirteenth edition of the Mansour bin Zayed Football Cup 2026, which will be held throughout the month of Ramadan at the Emirates Palace stadiums.
With the participation of 16 teams representing the sectors of the Presidential Office and its affiliated government agencies, it is organized in cooperation with the Emirates Football Association and the Emirates Professional Association.
Reflecting institutional integration in supporting sports activities and strengthening ties between members of government agencies.
In the Emirate of Ajman, the sixth edition of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament is being held, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council.
It is organized by the Human Resources Department of the Ajman Government in cooperation with the Quattro Sports Center.
The tournament includes 15 tournaments, events, and a sports and community program, continuing a journey that has established its presence as one of the most prominent Ramadan sports and community events in the emirate.
In addition to the Hatta Ramadan Championships at Hatta Sports Club, which aim to enhance community sports participation in mountain neighborhoods.
The 13th edition of the Nd Al-Shaba Sports Tournament, held annually during Ramadan at the Nd Al-Shaba Sports Complex, attracts more than 8,000 athletes in various sports.
It will continue until March 7, with total prize money amounting to 4.5 million dirhams.
The tournament includes 11 Olympic and community games, including volleyball, padel, jiu-jitsu, fencing, wheelchair basketball, and running.
In addition to bicycle racing, tug of war, obstacle challenge, badminton, and triathlon basketball (3×3), with multiple competitions organized within each game.
Al Dhafra.. Ramadan Championship 2026
For its part, Al Dhafra Club announced the launch of the 2026 Ramadan Championship during the period from 1 to 20 Ramadan, including 40 diverse sports and community competitions targeting different age groups of men and women.
It is the largest of its kind in the Al Dhafra region in terms of the number of competitions and events, the volume of participation, and the value of prizes.
The organizing committee confirmed that the tournament will be held in 6 main cities, and includes individual and group competitions for adults, juniors, and senior citizens of the region.
It varies between competitions that meet different interests, most notably football, volleyball, badminton, padel, basketball, marathon, and swimming.
In addition to jiu-jitsu, chess, weightlifting, and cricket, which enhances the concept of sports for all.
In a related context, the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation organizes several peg-catching championships during the month of Ramadan in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, in support of the sustainability of sports activities.
