Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Despite losing 4-3 to Al-Ahli Saudi, Shabab Al-Ahli secured their place in the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League. This came at the conclusion of the league stage.
The match, held at Al-Inma Stadium, saw the home team clearly dominate the first half, finishing with a 3-0 lead. They then added a fourth goal early in the second half, putting the Emirati team under considerable pressure.
Al-Ahly Saudi’s goals were scored by Firas Al-Buraikan, an own goal by Bogdan Planić, Enzo Milut, and Saleh Abu Shamat from a penalty kick. The goals came in the 12th, 35th, 45+3, and 52nd minutes.

Mohammed Juma then added a third goal in stoppage time. The final minutes saw intense efforts to equalize, but they were unsuccessful.
The Emirati team benefited from Sharjah’s loss to Nasaf Qarshi, officially securing their qualification. They now await their opponent in the next round, which could pit them against one of the group leaders.
The win lifted Al-Ahly Saudi to second place in the AFC Champions League with 17 points, while Shabab Al-Ahly finished sixth.
