Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors during a telephone call. This aims to serve the mutual interests of both countries and benefit their people.

Strengthening cooperation pathways

Both sides affirmed their mutual commitment to continuing joint efforts to further advance UAE-Turkey relations. In addition, they expressed their desire to build upon the significant progress achieved in recent years, particularly in the areas of development, investment, and economic partnerships.

They emphasized the importance of intensifying coordination, exchanging visits, and strengthening communication channels between relevant institutions in both countries. This will contribute to broadening the scope of cooperation. Moreover, it will help in exploring new opportunities that achieve sustainable development and support the future visions of both nations. It is notable that the President leadership has played a pivotal role in shaping these collaborative efforts.

Discussing regional issues

The call also addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, most notably current regional developments and the efforts being made to address them. Both sides emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue and coordination regarding developments in the region. This strengthens regional security and stability.

His Highness and His Excellency stressed the need to support political solutions to crises and to prioritize de-escalation and diplomacy. Such efforts contribute to achieving peace and consolidating the foundations of development for the benefit of the region’s peoples. Moreover, under the guidance of the President, regional peace becomes a shared goal.

Growing strategic partnership

These talks come within the framework of the close relations between the UAE and Turkey. These relations have witnessed rapid growth in various fields in recent years. Such progress has been supported by a shared political will to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in a way that serves the aspirations of both countries for greater prosperity and stability. Furthermore, the President has consistently encouraged strategic partnership and prosperity for the UAE and Turkey.
