Muscat, Sultanate of Oman – The UAE national team for people with disabilities continued to lead the West Asian Paralympic Games “Muscat 2026”.
After raising his tally to 48 medals, including 13 gold, 16 silver and 19 bronze.
Following a new harvest achieved on Friday in the boccia, bicycle and manual competitions.
In the boccia competition, the doubles team won the gold medal in the BC4 mixed category.
While player Khalifa Khaled won the silver medal in the BC3 category.
The cycling and manual cycling teams recorded a remarkable presence in the individual time trial races on Friday.
Saeed Al Dhaheri won the gold medal in the 15 km race for the H4 category, and Abdullah Al Balushi added the gold medal in the 15 km race for the C4 category.
While Hussein Al-Mazem won silver in the H3 category, and Ahmed Al-Badawi won silver in the C5 category.
The bronze medals were also won by Ahmed Al Nuaimi in the H3 category, Salem Al Junaibi in the C3 category, and Dhiyab Al Muhairi in the C5 category.
Dhiban Salem Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee and Director of the Mission, confirmed that the results reflect the great efforts of the players and technical staff.
He praised the mission’s performance, noting that participation constitutes an important preparatory milestone for future events.
Most notably the Asian Paralympic Games in Japan.
He also expressed his confidence in continuing to achieve achievements and raising the country’s flag in continental and international forums.
