Muscat, Sultanate of Oman – The UAE national team for people with disabilities raised its tally to 39 colored medals, including 10 gold, 13 silver, and 16 bronze.
This is within the competitions of the West Asian Paralympic Games in Muscat 2026, after winning 10 new medals during the competitions of the third day of the tournament currently being held in the Omani capital.
The new medals were 4 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze.
The UAE national team continued its brilliance in athletics, crowning Sultan Al Shamsi with the shot put gold, and Abdullah Al Masbahi with the discus throw gold.
While Maryam Al Matroushi won the gold medal in javelin throwing, and in the boccia competitions, the president of Al Falasi won the gold medal in the “BC4” category, so that Emirati women’s sports continue their distinguished presence in the tournament.
Ahmed Al Hosani also won silver in the discus throw, and Noura Al Ketbi won silver in the shot put.
While the bronze medals were won by Maid Al-Lughwani in shot put, Ahmed Al-Naqbi in discus throwing, and Maryam Al-Zayoudi in spear throwing.
Meanwhile, Thani Al Shehhi added a new bronze medal in table tennis competitions.
In terms of wheelchair basketball, the UAE national team achieved a major victory over the Saudi national team with a score of 57-31.
