Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Al Nasr and Al Wasl derby ended in a 1-1 draw in the match that took place between the two teams on Thursday evening, as part of the UAE Pro League competitions.
The match, which was held as part of the 15th round of the ADNOC Pro League, took place at Al Maktoum Stadium amidst an enthusiastic crowd atmosphere.
The match started strongly from both sides, and Al-Nasr succeeded in opening the scoring early through Jonatas Santos in the seventh minute, after he received a perfect pass, penetrated the penalty area, and then fired a powerful shot into the net.
Al Wasl sought to respond quickly and almost equalized in the 13th minute, after a cross from Ali Saleh into the penalty area, but Glauber Lima intervened at the last moment and cleared the ball before it reached the striker.
Before the end of the first half, Al-Nasr had a chance to extend their lead, specifically in the 42nd minute, when Ramon Mirez headed a ball just over the crossbar.
Al-Nasr goalkeeper Shambieh also shone, saving a dangerous opportunity for Al-Wasl in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time, after a dangerous cross into the penalty area, ending the first half with Al-Nasr leading by one goal.
In the second half, Al Wasl continued their pressure until they succeeded in scoring the equalizer in the 52nd minute, through Miguel Borja, who headed the ball into the net.

With this result, each team earned a single point, bringing Al Wasl’s total to 26 points in fourth place. Al Nasr remains in sixth place with 20 points.
