Abu Dhabi, UAE – Serbia Prime Minister Goro Mačot affirmed that relations between the UAE and Serbia are at their best point ever, both politically and economically.
He described the partnership between the two countries as strong and expanding rapidly across various vital sectors.
In remarks to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of his participation
in the World Government Summit in Dubai, Mačot stated that the UAE is a key strategic partner for Serbia.
He noted that cooperation with Emirati companies has contributed to the implementation
of several major projects that have brought about a qualitative leap in the Serbian economy.
A new phase of investments
He explained that the Belgrade Waterfront project is a prime example of this cooperation.
The project has contributed to transforming the urban landscape of the Serbia capital and reshaping its cultural identity.
He also noted that the project represents a starting point for a new phase of investment,
especially given Belgrade’s hosting of Expo 2027.
This opens up vast opportunities for Emirati investors.
The Serbia Prime Minister added that the partnership with the UAE extends to infrastructure,
modern technology, and government development.
He emphasized his country’s keenness to benefit from the UAE’s leading expertise
in digital transformation, e-government, and artificial intelligence applications.

He noted that the two countries are working to build a shared information technology
environment to support vital sectors such as health and education.
This will enhance the efficiency of government services and improve the quality of life for citizens.
Regarding economic and investment cooperation, Machote emphasized that the strong political relations
between the two countries provide a solid foundation for expanding economic cooperation.
He explained that this cooperation is not limited to the bilateral level but also extends through joint partnerships in other countries.
The Serbia Prime Minister concluded his remarks by affirming that the energy, information technology,
and digital economy sectors represent key pillars for the future of relations with the UAE.
He also expressed his country’s interest in benefiting from the UAE’s experience in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy
and strengthening cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence and innovation.
