Al Ain.. The 2026 International Wireless Aviation Exhibition Championship begins

Al Ain, UAE – The competitions and activities of the second edition of the International Wireless Aviation Exhibition Championship 2026 – Al Ain began on Wednesday at Al Ain Amateur Club.

Which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region.

It will continue until February 8, with the participation of more than 86 professional pilots representing 28 countries from around the world.

The tournament, which is organized in accordance with the highest international technical and organizational standards, witnesses strong competitions in the sport of radio demonstration flight, within categories of varying difficulty level.

Reflecting the rapid development of this specialized sport, it confirms the country’s leading position in hosting prestigious international sports tournaments.

The tournament coincides with the organization of the “University Challenge for Unmanned Autonomous Systems – AUSUIC 2026”.

Hosted by the United Arab Emirates University from February 7 to 8 at Al Ain Sports Club.

This is achieved with the participation of aeronautical engineering students from the country’s universities, within a framework that reflects the integration of sports, education, and innovation.

The International Wireless Aviation Championship contributes to strengthening the position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi on the map of specialized events in this field.

Al Ain’s hosting of the tournament also reflects its cultural and historical specificity, contributes to supporting tourism and cultural exchange, and highlights the UAE’s national identity.

In addition to promoting a culture of ground and air safety and encouraging youth participation in modern aviation, keeping pace with international best practices.

In its second edition, the tournament aims to attract more than 3,000 visitors.

Over the course of five days, it includes a program full of accompanying events, including day and night air shows, and educational workshops for advanced and beginner levels.

In addition to specialized university competitions, which enhances the position of the city of Al Ain as a leading destination for hosting qualitative and specialized sporting events.

The tournament is one of the most prominent specialized tournaments regionally and internationally, and reflects the UAE’s leadership in air sports, its support for national talents, and its consolidation of the concepts of professionalism and safety.
