Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abeer Al-Ramahi, the Palestinian Ambassador to the UAE, affirmed that the World Government Summit represents a highly strategic platform for conveying the Palestinian narrative to the international community.
She added that it also strengthens channels of cooperation and partnership with various countries around the world.
She further commended the pivotal role played by the UAE in supporting
international dialogue and building bridges of communication between governments.
Strong and deep-rooted relationships
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of the World Government Summit in Dubai, Al-Rumaihi said that the fraternal
and historical relations between the UAE and Palestine are firmly established and deeply rooted.
This is clearly evident in the areas of political, humanitarian, relief, and development cooperation.
It also reflects the depth of the ties between the two brotherly peoples.
She explained that Palestinian participation in the summit is at a high level,
with the head of the General Personnel Bureau holding the rank of minister.
She noted that this participation represents an important step in showcasing
the Palestinian vision in the areas of administration and governance.
It also highlights the challenges facing Palestinian institutions
and outlines future aspirations for building an effective and sustainable governmental model.
Participation of 60 presidents and 500 ministers
She added that the World Government Summit brings together a wide array of decision-makers and thought leaders from around the world.
More than 60 heads of state and government and their deputies, along with over 500 ministers
and representatives from more than 150 governments, are participating.
This presents an exceptional opportunity for the State of Palestine to build international networks,
including holding fruitful bilateral meetings and actively participating in the specialized forums held alongside the summit.
The Ambassador of the State of Palestine concluded her statement by expressing her gratitude
to the United Arab Emirates for its excellent hosting and organization of this global event.
She also expressed her appreciation for the opportunity given to the State of Palestine to actively participate in this international forum,
which contributes to shaping the future of governments and strengthening international cooperation.
