111 horses compete on the “Midan” track
Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Horse Racing Club is organizing the tenth evening of the Dubai Racing Carnival on Thursday at the Meydan International Racecourse.
This is with the participation of 111 horses from the world’s and European elite, competing in eight rounds, all dedicated to purebred horses, for cash prizes exceeding 3.1 million dirhams.
The sixth main round of the evening will be highlighted by the Dubai Millennium Stakes, ranked in the third category «Group 3» races.
Which is held over a distance of 2000 meters on the grass track, with cash prizes of 700 thousand dirhams.
This was with the participation of 7 horses aged four years and above.
The competitions begin with the first half, “Jumeirah Genesee”, over a distance of 1,600 meters on the grass track, designated for three-year-old horses.
Its prizes amount to 500,000 dirhams, with the participation of 11 horses.
The second round, “Javza Logistics Park”, is organized on the sand track for a distance of 1,600 meters for the three-year-old horses.
With prizes amounting to 165 thousand dirhams and the participation of 16 horses.
The third round, “Mog Stakes”, will witness a 1,400-meter competition on the grass track, designated for three-year-old foals.
With cash prizes of 500,000 dirhams and the participation of 15 horses.
The fourth round will be held “dry” on the sand track for a distance of 2000 metres, in the handicap category “85 – 105”.
With prizes of 300,000 dirhams and the participation of 16 horses.
The competition continues in the fifth round with the Dubai Sprint 1200m grass track race, which is classified as a “Listed” race.
With prizes amounting to 500 thousand dirhams and the participation of 14 horses.
The seventh round, “DB World Logistics”, will be held on the sand track for a distance of 1,600 metres, in the “80 – 100” handicap category, with prizes of 250,000 dirhams and the participation of 16 horses.
The evening concludes with the eighth round of the Dubai Auto Market on the grass track for a distance of 1600 meters, in the handicap category “70 – 90”.
With prizes of 190 thousand dirhams and the participation of 16 horses.
