Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, inaugurated the 14th session of the “Art of Ras Al Khaimah 2026” Festival.
Which is organized by the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Public Policy Research, under the slogan “Civilizations”.
The opening of the festival, in the Al-Jazirah Al-Hamra Heritage Village, was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors accredited to the state and senior officials.
With the participation of more than 100 artists from 49 countries, they will present artistic works and experiences as part of events that will continue until February 8.
His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah stressed that investing in culture and arts consolidates awareness of national and historical identity.
In addition to promoting understanding and rapprochement between peoples, and supporting paths of economic diversification through developing the cultural and creative industries sector.
This is reflected in Ras Al Khaimah’s attractiveness in various sectors and its competitiveness as a center for qualitative events.
His Highness pointed out that the festival embodies the emirate’s historical cultural and artistic heritage, and reflects its orientations in consolidating the values and aesthetics of arts and culture as pillars of development.
It also enhances Ras Al Khaimah’s position as an effective regional center in the arts and creative industries.
His Highness explained that the event celebrates creative and talented people from the country and all over the world, and encourages the advancement of various forms of creative arts that reflect peoples’ civilizations and heritage rich in human and intellectual values.
His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah toured the festival’s sections, during which he viewed a group of artistic works.
He listened to explanations provided by the artists about the contents of their works, their methods and techniques, and what they reflect in terms of visual readings of the slogan “Civilizations” as a space for convergence and dialogue between memory and reality.
The Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival is a cultural platform that contributes to deepening the presence of art in the cultural scene in the emirate.
In addition to activating heritage and historical sites as incubators of knowledge, and attracting a wide range of creative practices.
