Dubai, UAE – The World Government Summit is preparing to launch its historically major session during the period from 3 to 5 February.
Under the slogan «Anticipating Future Governments», amid unprecedented record international participation, reflecting the event’s position on the international map.
Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Government Summit Foundation, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, stressed that the summit, which was established in 2013 with a clear vision to develop government work and anticipate global changes, witnessed continuous qualitative developments in its scope and impact.
As challenges expand globally.
It has moved from being a local platform to one that brings together governments and the private sector from around the world.
Today, through its major session throughout the history of the summit, it represents the largest comprehensive government platform in the world.
After hosting the World Government Summit through its previous sessions an elite group of Nobel laureates and thought pioneers who contributed to shaping the future of humanity, the UAE is hosting this year, in conjunction with the World Government Summit, the largest global gathering of Nobel laureates and other prestigious scientific awards, under the title «World Summit of Scientists», and will be held on the first and second of next February.
This event is held in cooperation with the World Association of Senior Scholars.
The summit brings together the most prominent international award winners such as the Nobel Prize, the Turing Award, the Wolf Prize, the Fields Medal, and Arab geniuses.
Along with a number of other prestigious international scientific award winners.
Among them are: Michael Levitt, winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Steven Geo, winner of the 1997 Nobel Prize in Physics, and Kip S. Thorne, winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics, Yoshua Bengio, winner of the 2018 Turing Prize, and John Hopcroft, winner of the 1986 Turing Prize.
Expanded agenda
This year’s session includes an expanded agenda with qualitative activities that include 24 international forums.
It focuses on the most prominent trends in vital areas most closely related to the future of humanity.
In addition to holding more than 35 ministerial and high-level meetings with the participation of more than 500 ministers.
The summit will issue 36 strategic reports in cooperation with international knowledge partners.
It also witnesses strategic dialogues about the future of vital sectors.
Foremost among them are governance, technology, aviation, logistics, tourism, global trade and investment.
This was attended by the most prominent CEOs in these sectors.
The new session of the World Government Summit marks a qualitative leap in the volume and impact of global participation.
