Abu Dhabi, UAE – Dibba secured a valuable 1-0 victory over Khorfakkan in their match this evening, Thursday, as part of the 2025-2026 UAE Pro League season.
Dibba met with Khorfakkan at the former’s stadium, as part of the 12th round of matches in the ADNOC Professional League competition.
Dibba’s only goal was scored by Simon Cabral in the 57th minute. This came after he fired a shot from inside the penalty area that hit the foot of one of Khorfakkan’s defenders, changing its direction to settle in the net.
With that result, Dibba raised their points tally to 9, moving up to twelfth place. Meanwhile, Khorfakkan’s points remained at 11, leaving them in tenth place in the standings.
The first half was goalless, characterized by a quiet start and play largely confined to midfield. There were incomplete passes and a lack of a final touch, with Khorfakkan’s only real chance coming from a header that was well saved by the Dibba goalkeeper.
At the start of the second half, Dibba imposed their offensive pressure, and threatened Khorfakkan’s goal with a powerful shot from Takashi Oshino, which was saved by Ahmed Hamdan, the visitors’ goalkeeper, and cleared to a corner kick.
The home side continued their attacking activity, until Simon Cabral succeeded in scoring the opening goal from an individual effort in the 57th minute, taking advantage of Dibba’s attacking superiority in the second half.
Khorfakkan almost equalized in the 72nd minute after being awarded a penalty, which was taken by Tariq Tissoudali. However, Dibba goalkeeper Mohammed Salem made a brilliant save to preserve his team’s lead until the final whistle.
