Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received a phone call on Monday from Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey.
During the call, they discussed bilateral relations and joint efforts to strengthen them
across various sectors that serve the development priorities and shared interests of both countries.
During the call, the two sides also discussed a number of regional
and international issues and developments, foremost among them
the efforts being made to address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, stressing the need to maintain the ceasefire there.
They also emphasized the necessity of continuing the flow of sufficient
and unhindered humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of its residents.
Both sides emphasized the importance of moving forward with determined
and accelerated steps toward a just and lasting peace based on the “two-state solution,”
as it represents the path to achieving regional stability and security and building a better future for all its peoples.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Turkish President
also exchanged views on regional developments
and a number of issues of mutual interest, as well as the efforts being undertaken in this regard.
