Abu Dhabi, UAE – The 272nd Emirati humanitarian aid convoy entered the Gaza Strip, marking the first shipment from the Mohammed bin Rashid humanitarian ship to enter the Strip.
This is part of Operation “The Noble Knight 3”, loaded with 387 tons of food parcels.
The Mohammed bin Rashid humanitarian ship, which arrived at the port of El Arish last week, carried food aid intended to meet urgent needs in Gaza.
It includes “10 million meals” provided by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives,
This is part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to enhance food security and support the most vulnerable groups.
Ensuring aid reaches those who deserve it
Mohammed Al Kaabi, media coordinator for Operation “Al Fares Al Shahed 3” in Arish, said: “The Emirati humanitarian aid team is working day and night, around the clock, in the city of Arish.”
This is to ensure that aid reaches those who need it in the Gaza Strip as quickly as possible.
The team has made great efforts in unloading, transporting and preparing the cargo of the Mohammed bin Rashid humanitarian ship since its arrival in Al-Arish.
This means that the first shipment of its cargo will enter Gaza today, a week after the ship’s arrival.
The entry of the convoy comes as an extension of an integrated logistical work system, supervised by the Emirati humanitarian aid team in the city of Arish.
It begins with unloading and emptying the ship’s cargo according to organized operating procedures.
The shipments were then transferred to the UAE humanitarian aid logistics center in Al-Arish, to complete the technical handling stages.
The team works day and night, around the clock, to ensure speed of completion, accuracy of procedures, and safety of materials.
Securing relief support
At the logistics center, parcels are inspected, sorted, and their safety is verified, with any damaged parcels being repackaged according to strict standards that take into account the quality and validity of the content.
This is before the aid is stored inside warehouses, according to its classification and type, in order to ensure ease of preparation and rapid response to field needs.
After completing the inspection, sorting, and storage phases, the food supplies are prepared within the humanitarian supply route.
This is to transport them gradually to the Gaza Strip via Emirati humanitarian aid convoys.
