Dubai, UAE – The number of Russian companies registered in the UAE has exceeded 13,500.
Nearly 2,000 new licenses were issued during the current year alone.
The UAE-Russia Business Forum was held as part of the 12th meeting of the Russian-Emirati Joint Governmental Committee on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation, held in Dubai.
The UAE-Russia Business Forum is scheduled to become an annual event, with the next session to be held in Moscow in 2026.
In recent years, the volume of trade exchange between the two countries has increased significantly.
It is expected to exceed US$10 billion by the end of 2025.
Joint ventures have also expanded to cover a wide range of sectors, from manufacturing to transportation and logistics.
All the way to agriculture, digital technologies, healthcare and investments.
Agreements and understandings
The forum witnessed the signing of several agreements that will contribute to shaping the features of cooperation between Russian and Emirati entrepreneurs in the coming years.
Among these agreements is a memorandum of cooperation signed between the UAE-Russia Business Council and the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone.
With the aim of enhancing bilateral trade and re-export flows through logistical cooperation and using the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone as a starting point for Russian companies to enter the UAE market and the markets of other countries.
The UAE-Russia Business Council also signed a partnership agreement with Gazprom-Media Holding.
With the aim of enhancing Russian media content, educational projects and business initiatives in the UAE market.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the UAE-Russia Business Council and the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park to establish a framework for joint cooperation in the fields of innovation and sustainable development.
Including the launch of a dedicated innovation track between the UAE and Russia.
