In the presence of the Director General of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, Hilal Saeed Al Marri, the meeting, which was held in the Global Village, with the support of Dubai Entertainment Holding, began its activities with a comprehensive presentation presented by the Executive Director of the Dubai Tourism and Commercial Marketing Corporation affiliated with the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, Issam Kazem, during which he discussed the emirate’s achievements and its strategy to continue achieving growth during 2026.
The show pointed out that the emirate set a record last year.
It has received more than 18.72 million international visitors, while the emirate has continued its upward trajectory since the beginning of 2025.
To record a 5% growth in the number of international visitors during the first 10 months of this year.
This is due to its reception of more than 15.70 million international visitors, compared to the same period last year.
The hotel occupancy rate reached 79.4%, compared to 77% for the same period in 2024.
The average daily room rate also increased by 6% to reach 531 dirhams.
In turn, the average revenue from available rooms reached 421 dirhams, achieving an annual growth rate of 9%.
As of the end of October, the number of available hotel rooms reached 152,875, across 820 properties.
Investment incentive
The meeting highlighted the new investment incentive initiative to encourage investment in new hotel facilities in Dubai’s high-growth areas.
Which was launched by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism last October.
Reference was also made to a group of new projects and those expected to be launched throughout the emirate during the coming period.
The regular meeting also focused on a pivotal point related to the month of Ramadan for the year 2026, and discussed ways that enable Dubai to maintain a balance between openness and receiving visitors from all over the world, and preserving its identity and heritage throughout the holy month.
