Dubai, UAE – Masdar City Free Zone has been named the fastest growing free zone in the UAE.
The achievement comes in conjunction with four accolades awarded to the Masdar City Free Zone as a leading global model for sustainable urban development and a platform for business innovation.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Buraiki, Executive Director of the Free Zone and Sustainable Development Sector in Masdar City, received the award.
The rapid expansion of the Masdar City Free Zone to include more than 2,000 tenants representing more than 90 countries was celebrated in 2025.
Which led to a growth in the workforce of 68% year-on-year.
The year 2025 witnessed qualitative achievements for the free zone in Masdar City.
The region has expanded to include more than 2,000 companies through six high-impact parks – artificial intelligence, agricultural technology, life sciences, energy, smart mobility, and space technology.
With an occupancy rate of 99 percent and hundreds of delegations visiting from all over the world, the Masdar City Free Zone strengthened Abu Dhabi’s role as a global center for innovation and knowledge exchange, and the Masdar City Free Zone won the award for the most sustainable free zone in the UAE.
This is in recognition of its role in attracting companies from the sustainability and innovation sectors.
