Dubai, UAE – Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdullah bin Tawq Al Marri, revealed that the UAE markets attracted more than 220,186 new companies, from the beginning of January until the end of November 2025.
The Ministry of Economy and Tourism registered more than 36,000 national and international brands that entered the UAE markets, from the beginning of this year until last November.
This is a growth of 48.2% compared to the same period last year.
This reflects the competitiveness and leadership of the UAE’s business environment and its strong attractiveness to investments and projects from around the world.
Ben Touq said in statements on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of the Union Day: “This year’s Union Day carries distinctive connotations, as the country has witnessed exceptional and unprecedented economic and tourism achievements, reflecting its continued development and ambitious vision towards building a more advanced and prosperous future for current and future generations.”
He pointed out that on the economic level, the UAE topped the economic growth rates among the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The UAE’s real GDP grew by 4.2% during the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
Non-oil GDP grew by 5.7%.
The contribution of non-oil activities to real GDP reached 77.5%.
This confirms the country’s growing economic diversity and the strong foundations of its economy.
On the tourism front, Bin Touq stated that the UAE has achieved remarkable accomplishments that represent international recognition of its status.
The daughter of the Emirates, Sheikha Nasser Al Nuwais, assumed the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations Tourism Organization.
Masfout Village was also named the best tourist village in the world for the year 2025.
This reflects the prestigious level of UAE tourism and earns it wide praise at the international level.
He added that the UAE ranked among the top seven global destinations in international tourist spending.
Meanwhile, the hotel sector in the UAE continued its strong upward trajectory during the first nine months of 2025.
Hotel establishments in the country received 23.27 million guests, a growth rate of 4.9% compared to the same period in 2024.
