Phnom Penh, Cambodia – The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of the Dubai Chambers, concluded the activities of its trade mission to Malaysia and Cambodia by organizing 189 bilateral working meetings in the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh, between companies from Dubai and their counterparts in Cambodia.
With the aim of exploring opportunities for concluding new partnerships in a wide range of sectors.
Within the framework of the mission’s program, the Chamber held the “Doing Business with Cambodia” business forum.
This is in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand, which does not reside in Cambodia, the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, and the Cambodia Development Council.
More than 357 senior officials, business leaders, and representatives of local companies participated in the forum.
To explore prospects for cooperation and joint work opportunities between members of the trade mission delegation from Dubai companies and their counterparts from the business community in Cambodia.
Through an introductory presentation during the forum’s activities, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce highlighted the dynamic business environment provided by Dubai, in addition to the competitive advantages available to Cambodian companies in the various business sectors in the emirate, in addition to the opportunities to move from Dubai to promising regional markets.
The Cambodia Development Council gave an introductory presentation on the components of the Cambodian economy, the business system, development strategies and plans, commercial companies, and investment opportunities available to foreign companies and investors in Cambodia.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has identified a group of promising sectors for trade between Dubai and Cambodia.
Including aluminum, iron and steel, beverages, beds and furnishings, as well as aircraft and spacecraft parts.
The promising investment sectors for Dubai companies in Cambodia include tourism and travel, hotels and restaurants, transportation and storage, and textiles.
In addition to consumer products and home appliances, along with the construction and infrastructure sector.
Representatives of private sector companies in Dubai specializing in a variety of sectors participated in the trade mission to Malaysia.
It includes the construction, building materials, engineering services, retail, clothing, textiles and cosmetics sectors.
