Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Etihad Airways has announced that it will fly its Airbus A380 to Narita, Tokyo, in the summer of 2026.
The famous double-decker aircraft will begin flights between Zayed International Airport and Narita International Airport on June 16, 2026.
This coincides with the busy summer travel season.
“We have seen strong demand from our guests to Japan, and the A380 allows us to meet that demand,” said Eric Dee, Etihad Airways’ Head of Revenue and Commercial Affairs.
He added that the plane is suitable for this specific route, given the importance of business trips between the UAE and Japan, which have deep economic and cultural ties.
The additional capacity provides more Japanese travelers with travel options, whether as a stopover or a destination to explore.
Tokyo joins the network of destinations served by Etihad Airways A380 aircraft, along with London, Paris, Toronto and Singapore, with flights now available for booking.
