Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Zayed Charity Race announced its readiness for the start of the event.
The 24th edition of the event will be held in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, November 29.
The race activities start from Al Karama Oasis and end at the Eretz Abu Dhabi Hotel.
The race welcomes up to 15,000 participants in its various categories, which include distances of 3, 5 and 10 kilometres.
The starting and finishing areas will form two combined centres, providing running trails with stunning views, as well as easy access for the public and fans.
Participants compete for a set of cash prizes worth AED 1.5 million.
A ceremony will be held to crown the winners and distribute medals in various categories during the day of the event.
Since its launch in 2001, the Zayed Charity Race has evolved into a global humanitarian movement inspired by the values of the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Which is represented in mercy, generosity, and strengthening the spirit of solidarity between communities.
According to the Supreme Organizing Committee, the proceeds from this year’s race will be allocated to support three pioneering medical research programs at the Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center.
These programs are concerned with developing cancer treatments and promoting precision medicine based on bioinformatics.
As well as innovative perinatal treatments, continuing its mission of promoting health, innovation and meaningful community impact.
