With 32 new Airbus aircraft.. Etihad Airways expands its fleet

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Etihad Airways announced, on Tuesday, a major expansion of its fleet of wide-body aircraft with the addition of 32 new Airbus aircraft.

This accelerates the company’s growth and strengthens its position as one of the fastest growing airlines in the world.

The agreement includes a range of A350-1000 aircraft, A350F cargo aircraft, and A330-900 aircraft.

Within the framework of direct purchase orders and rental agreements.

The first deliveries will begin in 2027, which is among the first periods of availability of wide-body aircraft on the global market.

This new commitment follows Etihad Airways’ agreement earlier this year to purchase 28 additional wide-body Boeing aircraft.

Bringing the company’s total new orders for wide-body aircraft for 2025 to 60 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing.

Etihad Airways was quick to ensure early delivery dates for the wide-body aircraft.

This ensures that new aircraft will begin arriving in 2027, earlier than usual and often late schedules.

This rapid implementation according to the carrier reflects Etihad Airways’ flexibility and expansion model.

This enables it to enhance its competitive advantage through the early acquisition of limited long-haul aircraft.

This joint request provides Etihad Airways with additional flexibility in operating medium, long and cargo flights through: Additional A350-1000 aircraft enhance capacity on long flights.

In addition to the A350F cargo aircraft, the Etihad expands its growing cargo presence in global trade flows.

The A330-900 aircraft support the growth of medium and regional flights during a period when the availability of wide-body aircraft is severely restricted.

With the new Airbus order, Etihad will operate Airbus’s entire fleet of wide-body aircraft.

Including A380 aircraft, various A350 aircraft, including cargo aircraft, and A330neo aircraft.

All new aircraft, including those announced Tuesday, will be delivered with next-generation cabins in First, Business, and Economy Class, enhanced internet access, and high-speed internet access.
