Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Noatom Marine, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Ports Group and a leading provider of marine services in the GCC, announced the signing of a partnership agreement with Siemens Energy, a leading global energy technology company, and Green Parrot Tech (GPT), a specialist in providing integrated marine operations services, to explore opportunities for cooperation in renewable energy projects generated at offshore sites.

Under the agreement, the parties will seek to leverage their combined capabilities and expertise to support and develop marine renewable energy infrastructure.

Including substations and electrical power grids.

Leveraging their diverse expertise in electrical systems, engineering and design, subsea services, marine logistics, and manufacturing, the partners seek to create a unified framework that provides comprehensive solutions for renewable energy project developers.

This joint approach aims to reduce overlap between projects, simplify coordination processes, and provide an integrated platform that facilitates the development of complex marine projects.

The partners also intend to study future opportunities related to floating power plants and floating units for regasification.

It is noteworthy that investment in renewable energy infrastructure will bring about a qualitative shift in the sector.

This will provide cost efficiency in the long term, enhance the flexibility of the energy system, and reduce dependence on traditional fuel sources.

This partnership confirms the parties’ commitment to supporting the UAE’s strategy to reach climate neutrality by 2050.

In addition to achieving Abu Dhabi’s vision for the transition towards sustainable energy.
