Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – A number of officials from Arab clubs and communities in the country praised the UAE’s approach to tolerance.

Which is embodied through a system of legislation, institutions, and societal and cultural initiatives with a global human dimension.

They emphasized that this unique model has contributed significantly to the success of the state’s efforts to promote the principles of peaceful coexistence regionally and internationally.

Officials said in statements on the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance that communities in the country, with all their cultural and religious backgrounds, enjoy security, stability and societal harmony.

They also stressed that the UAE is one of the most diverse countries in the world.

Tolerance.. A fixed rule in the UAE approach

Mohammed Al Masada, Director of the Jordanian Social Club in Dubai, said that tolerance in the UAE is an important and authentic pillar in the state’s approach, and it is a legacy that extends back to the era of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, who established and consolidated this concept, and the wise leadership of the state followed in his footsteps, until tolerance became a solid Emirati approach that is passed down through generations.

He added: “There are communities of nearly 200 nationalities living in the UAE, and achieving this level of harmony between these nationalities is not an easy matter, but the presence of a solid foundation of clear laws and a deep-rooted spirit of tolerance has made everyone live in love and mutual respect.”

He stressed that the UAE has made tolerance a fixed rule in its policies and regulations under the directives of the wise leadership.

The assistant pointed out that the rapid development and successive achievements achieved by the UAE are “the result of the blending of the values of tolerance and love with the flexibility of the law and the wide diversity of society.”

In turn, Counselor Lotfi Hussein Al-Barawi, President of the Egyptian Clubs in the country, said that the UAE presents a global model of tolerance and coexistence and is the first in the world to establish a specialized ministry that aims to consolidate the culture of tolerance, which reflects the extent to which these values are rooted in Emirati society and its keenness to promote them.

Al Barawi pointed out that the UAE, which embraces nationalities from different cultures and religions, is always keen to launch legal and cultural initiatives to combat discrimination and hatred.

Which enhances the environment of tolerance and coexistence in which everyone lives.

He considered that the establishment of the Ibrahimi Family House in Abu Dhabi, which includes a mosque, a church and a church, embodies the UAE’s vision of promoting coexistence and dialogue between religions.

He said that the Egyptian community lives in the Emirates as if it were in its homeland, finds all care and attention, and receives all respect and appreciation.

For his part, Mohammed Baha Al Din, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sudanese Club in Abu Dhabi and head of the community, said that the UAE has established a unique model of tolerance and human coexistence, based on a great legacy placed on his daughters by the founder of the country and the builder of its renaissance, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who believed that a person, regardless of his religion, race or culture, is a partner in building the nation.
