Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Hope Makers Initiative has begun receiving nominations and applications for participation in its sixth session, launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai.
This is to search for hope makers in the Arab world for the year 2025.
The sixth session of the “Hope Makers” initiative receives applications for participation and nomination through the website arabhopemakers.com.
“Hope Makers” is the largest Arab initiative of its kind dedicated to celebrating the generous people of the Arab world.
This is done by honoring their initiatives, projects, programs, and humanitarian, charitable, and community campaigns through which they seek to advance their communities.
In addition to improving the quality of life in their environments, helping the needy, providing relief to the afflicted, alleviating the suffering of vulnerable groups, and making a positive difference in the lives of the people around them.
In addition to harnessing their resources and potential for the public good or to serve a specific segment of society.
The initiative allows any person with a humanitarian or community initiative in any field or activity to apply for the Hope Makers Award, and any institution, association, volunteer group, or institution with humanitarian or community activity has the right to be nominated for the award.
Others have the right to nominate whomever they deem worthy of this, and the initiative grants the winning hope maker a financial reward worth one million dirhams.
“Hope Makers” has set conditions for participation and nomination.
The most important thing is that the nominated initiative is characterized by originality and innovation, contributes to improving the lives of the people concerned or making a positive difference in the relevant community, and that the owner of the initiative is recognized in his community for his efforts, giving, and excellence in his humanitarian or community activity.
“Hope Makers” requires that the entrepreneur undertake his project as a voluntary effort, without achieving any profit or financial benefit.
If the applicant for the initiative is an organization, institution, humanitarian or charitable association, it must be registered as a non-profit entity, and the initiative must be of a sustainable nature and capable of expanding the scope of its benefit, achieve a noticeable impact in the local community or leave a measurable and evaluable change among the group or segment concerned with its activity.
The initiative seeks to collect tens of thousands of stories of hope. After the nomination period closes, several committees are formed to study, evaluate and verify the applications. In conjunction with the competition stages, the stories of the Hope Makers, documented with photos and videos, are published on various social media sites of the “Hope Makers” initiative, as well as through paper and digital media platforms, so that the public can interact with the inspiring stories.
Stages before the final qualifiers
The candidates will go through several stages before reaching the final qualifiers, which will be held in Dubai.
During this period, the first Hope Makers undergo a comprehensive evaluation, in addition to following up on their projects and initiatives and studying them with documents and papers, before announcing the winner of the title.
The Hope Makers initiative, which falls under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, aims to shed light on hope makers in the Arab world, both women and men, who devote their time, effort and resources to serving others, helping the poor and needy, providing relief to the afflicted and contributing to improving lives around them.
In addition to introducing the initiatives, projects and programs of hope makers through various traditional and digital media, and through new media platforms, and enhancing their fame in their communities and in the Arab world.
It also aims to reward distinguished hope makers who have the most influential initiatives by providing them with financial support to help them continue their initiatives and intensify their humanitarian and volunteer efforts in their communities.
In addition to expanding the scope of their initiatives and projects to include a larger number of beneficiaries.
The initiative seeks to contribute to instilling a culture of hope and positivity throughout the Arab world and to encourage giving, no matter the challenges.
Also, contributing to creating positive, inspiring models of youth in the Arab world who will serve as role models for others in working for constructive change and developing their communities, and celebrating these models.
