Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority organized a training trip to the People’s Republic of China for a group of department directors and their deputies from various sectors and institutions of the Authority.
This is part of the «Advanced Leadership» program, which aims to qualify and develop national competencies from the second and third grades, and enable them to assume future leadership roles, through practical experiences and field visits to the best global practices in the field of leadership and innovation.
The visit comes within the framework of the Authority’s keenness to translate the directives of the UAE leadership to invest in human capital and hone citizen competencies.
Through qualitative training programs that contribute to preparing an elite group of leaders capable of anticipating the future and leading institutional transformation efficiently.
The training trip, which lasted for several days, included field visits to a number of companies and centers specialized in the fields of smart transportation, artificial intelligence and future technologies.
Prominent among these companies were Huawei, Ali Baba, SenseTime, and EHang, where participants learned about the latest global practices in smart mobility, digital transformation, sustainability, and smart city management.
Executive Director of the Human Resources and Development Department in the Administrative and Institutional Support Services Sector at the Authority, Adhari Muhammad, said: «The (Advanced Leadership) program aims to build national leaders who possess the ability to think strategically and anticipate the future, by combining theoretical education with direct field experiences that give participants the opportunity to learn about Distinguished global models of innovation and modern technologies».
She added: «The training trip to China was distinguished by providing an integrated educational environment that enhanced the exchange of experiences and the acquisition of knowledge from international institutions in the fields of transportation and artificial intelligence, which reflects positively on the development of the Authority’s systems and operations, and enhancing its institutional competitiveness».
