Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The first evening of the Dubai World Horse Racing Carnival begins on Friday at the Medan International Racecourse.
With the participation of 73 horses competing in 7 rounds, with a total prize money of one million and 330 thousand dirhams.

The evening will be held as part of the 2025/2026 season, which includes 17 special racing events.
Its activities begin tomorrow and continue until Saturday, March 28, 2026, the date of the thirtieth edition of the Dubai World Cup, which constitutes the great conclusion of the season.
The opening day will witness the return of champion Dark Saffron, winner of Group (1) “Dubai Golden Shaheen” on the evening of the Dubai World Cup last April.
To lead the start of the new season in the inaugural Emirates Airlines race over a distance of 1,200 meters, designated for three-year-old horses.
Dark Saffron faces 4 competitors, most notably “Ramai” by coach Michael Costa, in addition to the mare “Ariaf” from the same stable.
The main race of the evening is the Emirates Airlines 1,600-meter race, with the participation of 13 horses, including “Smart System”, a representative of coach Ali Al-Badawi’s stable, who seeks to confirm his superiority after winning twice on the Meydan track.
The second half, the 1400-meter “Arab Adventure” race, will witness a remarkable international participation through the horse “Vino Sauro” by British coach Jimmy Osborne, who confirmed that the horse showed promising performance in England, and is looking forward to knowing its level in Dubai before competing in longer races.
The day concludes with the Emirates Skywards 1,600-meter race.
Which is witnessing distinguished international participation, including the horse “Dark Stream”, coming from Denmark under the supervision of Veronica Yandova.
Along with the Brazilian horse “Norato”, led by jockey Sylvester de Souza, the UAE’s cavalry champion.
The evening also includes a race dedicated to two-year-old horses sponsored by Emeritus Courier Express.
Benghazi Star, supervised by Ahmed Bin Harmash, and Six Speed, coached by Bobat Simar, will participate in it.
Amid great anticipation for their promising talent at the beginning of their career on the “Midan” track.
